According to the World Oilseed Market Trade
Report for May released by United States Department of Agriculture, 2017/18
global sunflower seed output will reach a new record, 46.1mt.
The sunflower seed output increase in Argentina, Bolivia,
China, EU, Turkey and Russia exceeded declination in Ukraine and the USA. The
global sunflower seed squeezing volume is expected to increase because main
producing countries and importers increased squeezing volume, meeting domestic
and overseas demands of sunflower meal and oil.
The term-end inventory of 2017/18 global sunflower seed
will decline, still 20% lower than average level in five years.
