The sunflower seed price in Russia is 18,425 RUR per ton, 725 RUR up than that in the previous week. Domestic sunflower seed oil price in Russia is 40,825 RUR per ton, 250 RUR up than that in the previous week; the export price is USD 715 per ton, USD5 up.

　　SovEcon predicts that the oily seed output in Russia will be 16.2mt in 2017, 500,000t less than that in the previous year,  in which, the sunflower oily seed output will be 10.8mt, 200,000t less than that in the previous year.

　　SovEcon said the sunflower seed oil producers in Russia worried about increase of sunflower seed export, and have required the government adopting more measures to restrict sunflower seed export. From October 2016 to April 2017, the export of Russian sunflower seed tripled than that in the previous year, reaching 197,000t. Currently, the sunflower export tariff is 6.5%.
