Insiders called the Ghana government to formulate normalized price of cashew nut products so as to promote prosperous development of the industry.

Cashew nut products need a stable and favorable market price like cocoa to improve benefits of growers and expand planting area. Currently, the situation of lowering cashew product price is against development of the industry. Cashew nut output in Brong-Ahafo was dropped, either.

Meanwhile, incentive plan is required for cashew growers, such as training, appropriation and reasonable pesticide application. Some measures can not only drive growers to increase production but also help improve quality and quantity of cashew nuts.
