California Almond Market Becomes Better

In the last week, Almond Board of California released two important reports consecutively. The California almond delivery in June is 177 million pounds, 1.7% up than the 174 million pounds in the same period of last year, creating the historically highest record of delivery in June. In local market of USA, the sales growth reached 22.4%. The US market started outburst after over one year’s slump.

The objective output of almonds is expected as 2.25 billion pounds, lower than the 2.3 billion pounds predicted earlier. Due to the two reports, every market started replenishing last week, pushing USD 5-10cent up of market price.

The new order sales volume in June is 87 million pounds. By the end of June, the new product sales progress in 2017 is about 12.5percent.

For harvest of new production season in 2017, at present, most growers may harvest one week than the last year. However, currently, the quality of new almonds is good. The grain size is larger, and Np output may increase 10.6% than 2016, accounting for 40% of total volume.
