A survey,by South African Macadamia Growers Association, aiming at  forecasting macadamia yield in 2017,whichUpgrading data shows thatin-shell macadamia is 42000 tons (nuts 1.5% water content), because more growers are involved,more 570 tons of predictionthan May’s

Macadamia industry is still suffering from the severe drought, resulting in 2016 production of 38000 tons, but in 2015 the output of 46000 tons. till2017, Limpopo Province is still affected by drought, many growers have submitted predictions that shows a lower yield than what it used to be.

Because of the high price of the in- shell nuts, it is estimated that only 49% of the output will be processed into nuts in 2017, with a serious declineof 64% output processing in 2016.
