In the first half year, the cashew nuts imported from Vietnam to the Netherlands increased greatly with export value of USD222.5 million, 37.6% up than the last year. The Netherlands became the second largest importer of Vietnamese cashew nuts in the world, next to America (USD543.3 million).

Recently, Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Premier of Vietnam praised the Netherlands’ support for sustainable development of food industry in Vietnam when visited the Netherlands. Vietnam will invite the Netherlands to attend Vietnam International Food Industry Exhibition 2018 as guest.

The Premier said the exhibition can allow Dutch consumers to know food of Vietnam, and meanwhile attract importer from other EU countries.
