California
Almonds have been started harvesting for nearly a month. The price fluctuated frequently in one month, and the highest NP price
once reached 2.45. Currently, since both buyers and sellers
lack power for further development, the market becomes every quiet, and NP
price keeps at 2.35-2.4.
For harvest,
currently, messages passed from farmers in California are pessimistic. Compared with former years, the insect damage is the largest potential
quality problem this year, while NP output is not as high as
expected, and grains are not as large. Recently, the rainfall in some area of
California brings some uncertain factors to quality.
Recently,
California will release delivery report in August, which may drive fluctuation
of price. However, all fluctuations may be controlled within “certain scope”.
Large amount of rise or fall is not realistic.
