From January to July 2017, the output of raw sunflower seed oil in Ukraine reached 3.18 million ton, increasing 36% than 2016; the sunflower oil output in July is 314,000t in July, dropping 30.4% according to link relative ratio, and increasing 46.4% on year-on-year basis, the State Statistics Bureau was quoted as saying by Ukrainian Independent Information Agency on Aug. 23.

Output of vegetable butter and edible oil from January to July increased 28.7% year on year, reaching 125,000t. The output in July dropped 15.6% according to link relative ratio, and increased 0.2%, reaching 15,700t.

As reported, Ukraine totally produced 4.4 million ton non-refined sunflower seed oil in 2016, increasing 20.2% in 2015. The output of vegetable butter and edible oil is 184,000t, dropping 13.6% than 2015.

Ukraine is the largest sunflower oil exporter in the world. Data of Ukraine Oil Plant Industry Association shows in 2016, Ukraine exported 4.8 million ton sunflower seed oil, reaching the highest record, increasing 23% than 2015. The product export volume is increased from USD4.2 billion to USD4.8 billion.
