1: Analysis on sales of California almonds in August

The California almonds delivery amount shall be 76,000t in August, 0.9% lower than that in the previous year. The purchase quantity in US local market increases 14.4%, and delivery amount of export market dropped 8.9% than last year, in which export amount to China/Hong Kong dropped 45%, India dropped 41%, Middle East dropped 8%, and Europe increased 24%.

The domestic purchase quantity in August in the US reached 31,000t, increasing 14.4% year on year; the export quantity in August reached 46,000t, 9% lower than the previous year.

2: Inventory and output analysis of California almonds in August 

New products in 2017: since the harvest time postponed this year, and harvest speed slowed down, the harvest number of new products in August is only 97,500t, 40% lower than last August. With continuous promotion of harvest, Californian growers said NP unit area output reduces while worm damage rate is high this year.

3: Future trend of California almonds

The delivery quantity in August 2017 is 76,200t, slightly lower than the Augusts’ highest record (77,100t). The number proves strong demand of almonds. The local market delivery quantity in the US is 30,500t, rising 14.4% than last year. The domestic demand in the US is strong.
