Vietnam Business Times reported on Oct. 26 that in recent years the Vietnam cashew output ranks the first in the world and has keeping the first place for years. Thus, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam decided to list cashew nuts in 2017 Food Expo to be held on Nov. 15 to National Food Brand Directory to help create Vietnam cashew nut brand, improve added value of cashew nuts and further facilitate global export status. The cashew nut will become the six categories of national brand food. 

Currently, Vietnam has about 1000 nuts processing enterprises, and 350 exporters. In the first ten months this year, totally 289,400ton cashew nuts are exported, with value of USD2.868 billion. The annual export volume is expected to exceed USD3.3 billion, accounting for 60% of global export market.
