According to reports of Mainichi Shimbun and
The Guardian on November 14, the minister of Ministry of Agriculture of Tanzania proposed on the 2018 Tanzania financial budget meeting
on 13th to call off the corn export ban introduced in June this year.
In June of this year, the Tanzania government introduced the
corn export ban, for some senators complained that some lawbreakers seized the
opportunity to smuggle and transport secretly the crops because of the good
corn harvest.
According to the
media, the Tanzania
corn will be exported to surrounding countries after ban lifting. In the
meantime, the corn export will improve the enthusiasm of the peasants to plant
the corn and facilitate the Tanzania
government to control the curb inflation.
