According to the November global agricultural yield report issued
by United States Departments of Agriculture, the yield of Ukraine sunflower
seeds in 2017/2018 was estimated to be 130 million tons, 500 thousand tons less
than the estimated value of the previous month and 2.2 million tons less than
the record-breaking level of the previous year.
The
reduction cause for the sunflower seed yield was that the dry weather for four
months caused the reduction of 11% of per unit yield of sunflower seed compared
to the previous year.
United
States Departments of Agriculture estimated that per unit yield of sunflower
seed in 2017/18 was 2.03/hectare, 4% less than the estimated value of the
previous month, 14% less than the record-breaking level of the previous year
and 1% less than the five-year average value.
