China Push South Africa Macadamia Nut Market Prosperity:Accounting For 40% Of Nut Exports

US Medium said that,the lush jungle of South Africa is a well - known paradise for exotic wildlife and fruit trees. But traditional crops like guava and avocado are giving way to a more popular crop——Macadamia nut

On December 5th,  CNN reported that South Africa has quickly ranking on the major producer of this nut. The country’s output increased from 3000 tons in 1996 to more than 40,000 tons in 2015, and a new tree of nearly 4,000 hectares has been planted every year.

It is also said, most of these nuts are for export and China is mainly factor which booming this prosperity. According to a Chinese trade associationstatistics estimate that,China has purchased up to 40% of these exported nuts. especially, Hong Kong having a strong demand.
