On Jan. 4, 2018,
Chile released G/SPS/N/CHL/566 Notification about
plant quarantine input requirements of imported unshelled peanuts. Ten clauses
are contained, including (1) The following plant quarantine input requirements
are established for unshelled peanuts from all sources. Goods must provide
official plant quarantine certificate issued by place of origin, and attach
with the following declaration: the goods shipped have been fumigated so as to
control Trogoderma granarium (Col., Dermestidae), Corcyra cephalonica (Lep., Tortricidae),
Caryedon serratus (Col., Bruchidae), Callosobruchus analis (Col., Bruchidae), Callosobruchus
theobromae (Col., Bruchidae), marking fumigation agent, dose, exposure time,
and temperature; (2) No soil and other plant debris is attached to goods; (3)
The packing bags must be used for the first time, and not be used repeatedly;
the label or mark revised shall not be used; the packing materials shall be
suitable for quarantine at port of entry. The final date for comment shall be
