According to the weekly report published by Argentine Buenos Aires Corn Exchange, up to January 10, 19.6% of the sunflower seed harvest work in 2017/18 was completed, 8.3% higher than that one week ago. The average per unit yield was 2 tons per hectare.
　　The exchange predicted that the sunflower seed yield in 2017/18 will reach up to 3.6 million tons.
　　The exchange predicted that the sunflower seed sowing area in 2017/18 will be 1.75 million hectares, which is 2.9% higher than 1.7 million hectares in 2016/17 and 210 thousand hectares higher than the average sowing area of 1.54 million hectares of the past five years ( from 2012/13 to 2016/2017).
