According to the
information, the imported soybean exceeded 210,000 tons in the busiest Sino-Russian Heihe Port
in 2017 with the value as USD 64, 520,000 due to the reasons such as: The
exchange rate of Russian Ruble was slumping continuously; Russian grain was
recognized by Chinese consumers. Both the imported amount and value hit a new
high.
Heilongjiang
Province is adjacent to Russia
with abundant land resources. The production costs for the planting in China and Russia such as the seed, pesticide
and labor and so on are nearly the same, but there is a fairly wide gap for the
land costs. The land rental in Russia
is low. In addition, there are very strict requirements for grain planting with
EU standards implemented for the detection and there are high product
standards. Thus, the “green and pollution-free” overseas returned grain is very
popular with the Chinese people.
According
to the information published by Heilongjiang Entry-Exit Inspection and
Quarantine Bureau, up to December 31, 2017, the imported soybean in Heilongjiang Heihe
Port was 210,100 tons in total and the value was
about USD64, 516,400 with the year-on-year growth rates of 13.02% and 6.04%
respectively, hitting a new high.
