But in 2016, the output declined due to the drought. In 2017, it resumed and its output rose again to a leading position of 44 thousand tons.At the same time, the planting area of the macadamia nut in South Africa is also expanding, from 1250 hectares in 2013 to 5000 hectares in 2017, and increased by 300% in 4 years.According to the report, the production of Macadamia nut in South Africa in 2018 is estimated to be 56 thousand tons (NIS, and the moisture content of nuts is 1.5%).
