Mexico uses pine nuts to extract biodiesel

Mexico's agriculture, animal husbandry, rural development, fisheries and food department (hereinafter referred to as 'the Ministry of agriculture') recently announced that new progress has been made in the research and development of biofuels in the country, and researchers have successfully used pine nuts to extract biodiesel.

Researchers point out that pine nuts have high oil production rate and good quality, do not occupy agricultural resources and do not affect grain production. It is an ideal raw material for making biodiesel and mixed diesel oil. This achievement will effectively reduce greenhouse gas emissions such as carbon dioxide.
