The North-Kazakhstan region
government has announced that it will begin supplying soybeans to China this fall, with the first export volume of about
100 tons. In
a meeting with Zeng Liying, deputy director of the State Administration of Grain,
Aksakarov, the governor of the North-Kazakhstan region said it plans to export
150,000 tons of oil crops to China, which will
increase in the future. It
is reported that the planting area of oil crops in the region will reach 1
million hectares in 2018, growing 41% over the previous year. At present, China mainly imports soybeans from Brazil,
the United States, Argentina
and other countries.
