The Agricultural Product Processing and Market Development Board of Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam said the other day that from early 2018, the nationwide cashew nut export reached about 176,000t, and export amount reached USD 1.41 billion. Both the export volume and export amount increased 17% than that in the previous year.

Currently, USA, Netherlands and China are the top three export markets of Vietnam cashew nuts, with export volume of 37.9%, 13.1% and 10.9% respectively. Currently, India is the largest competitor of Vietnam.

The Agricultural Product Processing and Market Development Board claimed that under the background of improved cashew nut export market, some enterprises in Vietnam expand cashew nut production scale but lower cashew nut price greatly, leading to rapid increase of cashew nut export while lower total profits amount.
