Like many other analysts, analysts in USDA also predict a
great reduction in sowing area of US soybeans next Spring. However, they have
different opinions as well. They predict the soybean sowing area will not be
recovered in next a few years.
Bruce Burnett, the expert of Glacier's
MarketsFarm in marketing and meteorology, said USDA believed the China-oriented
US soybean export would not be recovered soon. Before the trade conflict
between China and USA this year, USA has gradually given up the Chinese market
to South America. Chinese buyers have turned to South American supplies for a
while, and the trade war only speeded up the process. Burnett said the reason
that USDA made such prediction is China may not purchase US soybeans with equal
scale as before after the trade war.
