Daily News of Tanzania reported on Dec. 4 that as of Dec. 1, the Tanzanian Government has purchased 10,800t cashew nuts, worth of 35.5 billion shilling. Japhet Hasunga, the Minister of Ministry of Agriculture, Tanzania said totally 35.5 billion shilling has been paid to 34,938 farmers, and 157 out of 504 cooperatives in three south regions have acquired the purchase price. This move copes to the doubt about the Tanzanian Government’s unable to pay the purchase fund.
