In November 2018, President of Moldova and Head of
Russian Federation entered into a six-month agreement during the negotiation on
reducing Tariff of Five Agricultural Products.
Since the end of August, 2014, Russia has started collecting
tariff against imported agricultural products from Moldova. List of products
imposed with tariff covers: meat, grains, flour, sunflower seed, sugar, beer,
alcohol products and other commodities. Moldova entered into an agreement with
EU on June 27, 2014 and regulated to build free trade zone and adopt trade
protection measures hereby.
