Philippines approved GM soybean FG72 × A5547-127 for food, feed and processing on June 22, 2018. The genetically modified soybean was developed by Bayer and has herbicide tolerance. At present, the genetically modified soybean has been approved by Argentina and Brazil for food, feed and cultivation, by the European Union, Japan, Mexico and South Korea for food and feed, and by Taiwan for food raw materials. At present, the soybean has not applied to mainland China.
