Kazakhstan ushers in soybean harvest recently. The high-yield crop such as
soybean in North Kazakhstan this year is 20,000ha., and it plans to expand
soybean plantation area in the future. The North Kazakhstan Government signed “North
Soybean Plan” with the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan.
Aksakarov, the Governor of North Kazakhstan said high-yield crops will bring considerable income to farmers. The soybean price in the international market is KZT150,000/t; the value of 15ql soybean equals to that of 30ql wheat. According to the “North Soybean Plan”, North Kazakhstan grows 15,000ha. soybeans this year, and will increase the growing area to 150,000ha. by 2020. The diversified agricultural plantation will improve industrial profits and add farmers’ incomes.
