According to the Agricultural Products Processing and Marketing Bureau of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the cashew nuts export of Vietnam in the first 9 months this year reached about 328,000t, increasing 20.9% on year on year basis, and export amount reached about USD2.4 billion, decreasing 5.5%.

USA, China and the Netherlands are the largest cashew nut import markets of Vietnam in the first 8 months. It is noteworthy that the cashew nut export to China soared 35.4%.

The Agricultural Products Processing and Marketing Bureau said that the soared cashew nut export to China is due to tense trade between China and USA. The Vietnamese processing enterprises shall strive to improve product quality and meet food safety standards. 

In the world market, due to enlarged demands in the Europe and USA, the world cashew nut market in September 2019 is active. Importers need to produce large amount of raw cashew nuts to meet demands of the forthcoming Thanksgiving Day and the Christmas. The demand of the Japanese market for high quality organic cashew nuts is high as well.
