reported on November 26 that Brazilian National Association of Grain Exporters
ANEC pointed out Brazil’s corn export in
2019 is expected to set a record 41 million tons due to
the weakness of the its BRL, adverse weather
effects on U.S.
crop production,
and favorable prices in Chicago trading market.
ANEC data reveal that Brazil exported 22.8 million tons of the corn in 2018 and is expected to increase 80% YOY this year. Previously, Brazil’s annual export record of the corn reached 30.7 million tons in 2015.
