In
mid-May, when Omer, Kazakhstan’s Minister of Agriculture attended the Meeting
of Central Asian agricultural ministers on the same day, he called for closer
co-operation between the agricultural departments of Central
Asian countries to intensify food safety in the region. Omer pointed out that
Central Asian countries have great agricultural potential. As long as they
develop and cooperate closely, they may ensure food safety in the region
and jointly deal with the internal and external challenges and threats in a
timely manner.
Delegates
shared information on measures, actions and plans taken by various countries to
eliminate the impact of the epidemic. The Meeting expressed that the dialogue
was held so as to intensify the co-operation under the epidemic situation and
ensure food safety and agricultural development. to alleviate the impact of the
epidemic, information will continue to be exchanged periodically in this way in
future to promote timely and effective co-operation among Central Asian
countries and to make effective decisions on major issues when necessary.
