According to Ukraine latifundist on June 7, statistical results
of 2019 show Ukraine ranks the second among 123 countries supplying organic
products to EU, two places higher than that in 2018.
In 2019, EU totally imported 324t organic products, in which
more than 10% are from Ukraine. The organic products export from Ukraine to EU
is increased 27%, from 265,820t in 2018 to 337,860t in 2019.
Grains (except rice and wheat) are accounting for 76.9%, in
which the wheat is 31.8%; oil crops export (except soybeans) is 18.2%, ranking
the second after Turkey; soybean export is 13%, ranking the fourth; fruits
export is 11%, ranking the third. Moreover, Ukraine becomes one of the largest
importers of deep-fried dough cake, juice and vegetables.
The organic food import of EU is accounting for 2% of total
agricultural products import volume.
