On June 22, MFDS said in order to actively support export of Korean food it will launch food safety national certification system. 

Main contents of national certification system in the Republic of Korea are:

(1) Provide relevant legal consulting according to food standards of the targeted countries, or solving difficulties of exporters through law compliance inspection;

(2) Guaranteeing conformance of test reports between import and export countries for the convenience of rapid customer clearance;

(3) Formulating internationally recognized food safety management certification system of ROK and supporting enterprises to enter global market.
