On
Aug. 7, Konstantin Savenkov, the Deputy Director General of Russian Federal
Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision Bureau held video conference with the
Director General of Import and Export Food Safety Bureau, General
Administration of Customs, and negotiated about import and export food safety
issues between the two countries.
Chinese
side requires China-oriented foreign food enterprises to report epidemic status
of their employees to the General Administration of Customs, and adopt emergent
measures to end food export from such enterprises. The Russian side made
commitment solemnly and guaranteed exported products comply with all
requirements of the Chinese side.
Moreover,
both sides communicated about export of Russian milk powder, beef byproducts
and peas to China.
During
negotiation, both sides discussed matters such as integration of animal source
product veterinary certificate system between Russian Federal Veterinary and
Phytosanitary Supervision Bureau and General Administration of Customs,
upgrading Latin names of China-targeted Russian aquatic products directory,
strengthening Russia-China cooperation within framework of the ninth session of
the standing work conference in veterinarian monitoring, plant quarantine
control and food safety field, as well as other fields.
