China Imported over 55.13 Mln Soybeans in the First 7 Months - Chinese Demand for Brazilian Soybeans Is Increasing

Latest data of General Administration of Customs shows in the first seven months China imported 55.135 million ton soybeans, increasing 17.7%; the average import price is RMB 2729.6 per ton, falling 0.5%.

Among countries supplying soybeans to China, the performance of Brazil is outstanding. According to data, China imported 10.52 million ton soybeans from Brazil, increasing 91% on year on year basis; the data also creates the highest purchase record of China in single month. It's worth noting that in the first half year, Brazil finished over 6000t soybean export and sales, and meanwhile it presold nearly 40% unsowed new soybeans. The export of agricultural products to China is smooth, and the agricultural product export trade of the country also gains outstanding achievements.

According to survey made by Ministry of Agriculture, Brazil, the export value of China-oriented agricultural products reached USD20.5 billion in the first half year, accounting for 40% of total agricultural product export volume. The export value of oilseeds and protein is accounting for 87% of agricultural product export to China, while China-oriented soybean export is accounting for 72% of total soybean export volume.
