According to Vinacas, in the first half year, the export value dropped although cashew export volume soared. Statistics data shows in the first half year, the export volume of cashew nuts reached 232,000t, but export value only reached USD1.53 billion; the former increased 16% but the latter only increased 1% on year on year basis because average export price is reduced nearly 14% year on year, only USD6606/Ton. Thus, Vinacas recently decided to reduce cashew nut export value from USD4 billion to USD3.2 billion.

The cashew nut industry in this year shall offer specific measures according to actual situations. In terms of export, the Vietnamese cashew processing enterprises shall abide by advices of relevant institutions and provide high-quality and stable delivery services to customers so as to protect brand and improve export value. Moreover, they shall meet strict requirements of major markets for production, processing, storage and product quality.
