The purchase of export market of unshelled pecans was slow for two consecutive seasons, the purchase price of growers has slumped to the lowest point in recent five years. The same as many other industries, the pecans industry started experiencing the impact brought by the stagnant China-oriented market.

In order to cope to the problem of less supply amount, the import amount of US pecans is large at a historically high speed to make up inventory and add domestic sales in the USA. Now, the inventory of US pecans has created new records for two consecutive years, while the inventory in south America is expected to reach the highest level in history.
