As Sudan entered the peanut harvest season, Sudan Ministry of Industry and Trade announced on November 11 that it would resume peanut export, and at the same time, intensify the management, requiring that exported peanuts must meet Sudanese standards, prohibiting foreigners from engaging in trade activities, and emphasizing cracking down on and punishing speculation by laws. In accordance with Sudanese laws and regulations, foreigners are prohibited from doing business except under the protection of the Investment Law and the particular agreement of the government. In accordance with the relevant regulations of China, the storage and processing enterprises of shelled peanuts exported from Sudan to China must satisfy the requirements of China’s plant quarantine, be registered and recommended by the competent authorities of Sudan, and be examined and approved by the General Administration of Customs of China and registered.
The Economic and Commercial Office of the Embassy in Sudan reminds relevant individuals and enterprises to abide by laws and regulations of the two countries, engage in the peanut trade in accordance with laws and regulations, and register with the competent authorities in Sudan in time.
