On the same day, the Russian Legal Information Network announced the
Government Order No.2397 signed by Premier Mishustin on December 31, 2020,
which will impose a tariff of 30% and not less than 165 Euros per ton on the
export of Russian soybeans to countries other than the Eurasian Economic Union
from February 1 to June 30.
In December 2020, the Subcommittee on Tariffs and Taxes under the Legislative Council of Russian Economic Development and Integration approved the proposal of imposing tariffs on soybean exports. Russia's Ministry of Economic Development said that the tariff was imposed because of the rising international price of soybeans and the guarantee of raw material supply for Russian soybean processing enterprises.
