The Ministry of Agriculture of
Argentina said as one of the largest corn exporters Argentina will suspend corn
export.
It is said that “the Ministry of Agriculture... decided to suspend 2020/21
corn export customs clearance registration which is determinate originally to
start before March 2021”.
The Ministry of Agriculture of Argentina also pointed out “the suspension
aims to guarantee grain supply to the industry with corn as raw materials
during production process”.
So far, 34.23 million ton corns has been approved for export in 2019/2020, and theoretical export amount is 38.5 million ton. Current mission is to meet domestic demands with the remaining 4.27 million ton in Summer when the supply is often limited.
