With consumption upgrading in Chinese market and higher attention of people to health, the import volume of pistachios in China keeps increasing. It is learned from American Pistachio Growers, with consumption upgrading of the Chinese market, US pistachios as a kind of healthy snack food have gained attention of more Chinese consumers. China has become the largest export market of US pistachios.

In 2020/2021 season, such trend was changed. Global pistachio yield broke original record, reaching 985,000t, increasing 40% on YoY basis. According to the statistical data of USDA, US ushers in great harvest of pistachio in 2020/2021, and yield is expected to increase 42%; the export volume is increased 20% as well. China and EU are its main export markets.
