Vietnam totally imported nearly 1.2 million ton cashew nuts in the first four months of 2021, increasing 300% year on year; the import volume reached USD1.9 billion, increasing 323.5% on year-on-year basis. On that basis, the import amount of raw cashew nuts in Vietnam in first four months this year has nearly reached total import of the entire year in 2020.

Vietnam State Bureau of Statistics estimated that domestic cashew nut processing enterprises in April 2021 imported 480,000t cashew nuts with import volume of USD772 million, equaling to the data in March 2021. However compared to the same period of 2020, the import amount soared 375％ and the import volume also increased 470.5％.
