Report released by Food and Agriculture Organization of
the United Nations (FAO) predicts that global grain yield in 2021 will reach
the highest record 2.821 billion ton, increasing 1.9% than that in 2020.
The grain yield growth mainly owes to 3.7% higher global corn yield than
last year.
Global wheat yield is expected to increase 1.4% on year on year basis, and
rice yield 1.0%.
The 2021/22 global grain yield will reach the highest record 2.826 billion ton, increasing 1.7% year on year, slightly higher than yield level. The consumption of global grains will continue growing by prediction, consistent with population growth.
