Vietnam Bureau of Customs announced that in May, Vietnam imported 105,000t cashew nuts from Cambodia, with import volume of USD183 million. The import amount is 939,000t accumulatively in the first five months, and import volume is USD1.57 billion.

Cashew nuts imported from Cambodia are accounting for 66% of total import amount of imported cashew nuts in Vietnam. In the first five months this year, Vietnam accumulatively imported 1.4million ton cashew nuts, with import volume of USD2.2 billion, increasing 2.5 times on year-on-year basis. Meanwhile, Vietnam exported 214,300t cashew kernels with export volume of USD1.27 billion, increasing 17.2% and 3.8% year on year respectively.
