Recently, Putin, the President of Russian Federation signed two laws on producing green agricultural products. Relevant documents have been released on Russian codification network.

It is learned that the first law introduced concepts of agricultural product, raw materials, food and industrial products with improved characteristics; improved characteristics will be included to product standardization documents and quality and quantity indexes of agricultural products, raw materials and food; relevant test method and authentication rules will be formulated by Russian Federation.

The document also regulates limited transgenic seeds and forbidden ionizing radiation technology in production process of green agricultural products; besides, regulates storage, transportation, sales and state registration requirements of green agricultural products.

The second law is signed to guarantee consistence between existing legislation of Russian Federation and new specifications on green agricultural products. Relevant laws will take effect from March 1, 2022.
