Data released by China's General Administration of
Customs on Tuesday shows China imported 10.48 million ton soybeans from Brazil
in June, 2021, 14% higher than 9.23 million ton in May. This is the second
highest record in history because the pork industry of China revived from
COVID19 pandemic, continuously supporting soybeans import demands.
However, compared to the 10.51 million import in the previous year which
created the highest record in history, the soybean import in June dropped
slightly since tiny squeezing profits restricted part import demands. On
Monday, Shandong Squeezing Factory will suffer a loss of RMB339 once squeezing
one ton soybeans. As pork price declines, the lower live pig farming profits
lead to lower bean pulp demands.
