Customs Online of Vietnam reported
on Aug.24 that according to the latest statistical data of General
Administration of Customs, in first half of August this year, Vietnam totally
exported cashew nuts of 20,400t with value of USD137.44 million, respectively
declining 1.2% and increasing 14.5% on year-on-year basis.
From the beginning of this year to August 15, total cashew nuts exported of
Vietnam reached 348,700t with export value of USD2.14 billion, respectively
21.5% and 15.6% higher on year-on-year basis.
In the aspect of export market, in July and first seven months of the year,
the cashew nuts export to major markets of Vietnam soared.
In terms of export price, based on data released by Import-Export Bureau,
Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT), the export price of cashes nuts in the
country reached USD6457/t in July, rising 2.7% on quarter-to-quarter basis and
11.2% on year-on-year basis.
However, in the first seven months, the export price dropped to USD6095/t,
6.1% lower year on year. Except Egypt, China, Israel, Pakistan, Saudi Arabic,
India, Singapore and South Africa, the average price of cashew nuts exported to
many markets reduced to certain degree.
Import-Export Bureau MOIT predicted that the cashew export is optimistic
due to higher cashew nuts demand of Europe and America for cashew nuts as
affected by cyclical factors. Lots of large enterprises received orders for
shipment in 2022.
