According to the Magwe province, due to the abnormal
rainfall during the rainy season this year, the production of most sesame
growers in the province is reduced and some of them are damaged.As a result,
sesame growers were forced to plant peanuts, with most sesame growers facing
losses.
It is reported that during the rainy season this year,
only the town of Magui province has abundant precipitation, and the irrigation
water used by farmers is mainly dam water storage and precipitation, so sesame
is premature and bumper harvest.In addition, most of the other areas have
abnormal rainfall, farmland water shortage, therefore, sesame production is
relatively low.
