Subject to the 2014 Tariff Enforcement Program recently released by the Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council, among the Import and Export Tariff of the People's Republic of China enforced from January 1, 2014, the Chinese name of “Almond” under Item 0802 was officially renamed from “Badanxing” to “Biantaoren”.
　　　
　　　All enterprises engaged in importing and exporting raw and dried nuts shall subject to the new provisions issued by the Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council, and fill the customs declarations with the new and correct Chinese name, to protect self benefits of enterprises as well as rights and interests of customers.
　　　
　　　Satisfying mandatory enforcement requirements under the General Rules for the Labeling of Prepackaged Food GB 7718-2011, the national standards of Chinese food safety, and unifying with the name specified by the Cropping System of Amygdala (Badam) and Almond (SB/T10673-2012), the Chinese industry standards, the renaming to the Chinese name of “Almond' from “Badanxing” (common name) to “Biantaoren” (scientific name) by China Customs HS Code is the primary link to correctly indicate the true attribute name of the products from the source.
