Our Association Leader met with Foreign Nuts Associations ’Heads and paid a Visit to the 15th...

Invited by Agricultural Trade Office of The U.S. Consulate-General in Shanghai, a line of people led by Wengyangyang, executive vice president and Yang Qian, the secretary general of our association paid a visit to the 15th China International Foodstuff Exposition in Shanghai new international exhibition center and met with each foreign Nuts Association’s Heads on May 13 to 14, 2014.

Under the arrangement by Agricultural Trade Office of The U.S. Consulate-General in Shanghai, our association’s leader respectively met with Agricultural Director Keith Schneller, from Agricultural Trade Office of The U.S. Consulate-General in Shanghai, United States Department of Agriculture overseas enterprise service officials, Executive Director Diane.Long, from California –China Office of Trade and Investment and so on, and made a full arrangement with Diane.Long together on the specific schedule and contents, etc due to California Department of Agriculture, who had invited our association to make an investigation in California.

Our association also met with the United States associations’ heads of Pecans, hazelnets, almonds, pistachios and walnuts, then carried on a discussion with them. Both sides reach a consensus on a series of services of establishment of friendly information exchange mechanism, the enterprise’s brand publicity and marketing, communication with the government relevant departments, organization of communication on learning and training and etc. Both sides considered that it should be promoted substantive cooperation between both associations and enterprise on the basis of the existing communication and understanding and make a true cooperation between both sides through the ways of signing the memorandum of cooperation, etc. At the same time, our leader had interpreted the rules of “Quality Level Requirement of raw Nuts”, which was implemented on September, 2014. Our association leader said that this prescriptive text is drawn up together by domestic and foreign counterparts after nearly two year's effort to ensure nuts' quality level and it is hoped that the domestic and foreign counterparts may put forward opinions and suggestions timely in implement process to make it more perfect and suitable for enterprise and industry's requirement through revision.

Our association leader graciously communicated with the member enterprise, which participated in this exposition and inquired about enterprise’s participation cost, price and effectiveness, etc., and encourage qualified enterprise to make effort to find ways to integrate with world and grow stronger and larger. Our association also had visited enterprises' booths like Blue Diamond Growers, American Nuts' large exporter, Paramount farms, and carried on deep discussion and communication with American counterparts on issues about nuts’ import and export business, Chinese market, etc.
