At the morning on March 26, 2014, Ms. Lang Daian, the executive director in California’s Trade and Investment Representative in China visited our society, and conducted a cordial and friendly conversation with Ms. Weng Yangyang, the executive vice president in our society.

 Surrounding the development of own society, industrial development situation and bilateral cooperation and exchange, the two sides conducted the sincere and in-depth communication. Ms. Weng Yangyang, the executive vice president, introduced the development achievements at the recent 10 years since the establishment of our society and future development trend, highlighted the situation of the nut industry in our country, and the advantage that China has become the global largest nut market.

Ms. Lang Daian agreed with the advantage of China’s nut market, and she was excited that the nut product in over 20 countries had entered into Chinese market. She stressed that California is the cultivation and processing and distribution center of US nut, accounting for over 70% of total capacity in US, the resource, technology and management advantages are very obvious.

Then, the two sides seriously discussed to promote the mutual study among the peers in China and US, complement each other’s advantages to develop the technical exchange and market promotion, and reached the consensus. Meanwhile, they thought that the both parties shall develop the technical exchange and market promotion and other activities to deepen the understanding and build the trust and achieve the win-win in the cooperation.

Finally, the both parties conducted the effective consultation on the exchange visits for the peers in two countries and other issues.

They were satisfied with the conservation results, thus opening a good starting for the communication and cooperation among the peers in two countries. They agreed to meet again in the Eighth National Nut Exhibition held in Hefei on April 18.
