The Association held the 2014 council and the Award-giving Meeting for the Third National Science And Technology Progress Awards of Roasted Nuts

In November 20-22, 2014, the Association held the “2014 Council and the Award-giving Meeting for the Third National Science And Technology Progress Awards of Roasted Nuts” in Lin’an, Zhejiang province. The council was sponsored by the Association and undertaken by Longgang Town government of Lin’an City, the China roasted nuts food city. The president, senior vice president, vice president, managing director and director unit of the Association; farmers from the national nuts raw materials and representatives of suppliers enterprises; provincial, city and county roasted nuts associations (chamber of commerce) of roasted nuts and related key enterprise representatives; and prize-winning enterprise representatives of the third science and technology progress awards and advanced science and technology workers, more than 300 people in total, participated in the meeting. The Meeting was hosted by President Chen Xianbao.
   

Content of the Council is as follows:
1. Examine and approve 2014 work summary and 2015 main work plan; examine and approve the adjusted council member lists;

2. Examine 10th anniversary of the founding and reform of the ninth roasted nuts show;

3. Release planting area, output, quality and price analysis reports for main domestic nuts raw materials (flat peaches, walnuts, pecans, pine nuts, hazelnuts, etc.) in 2014; and main import nuts raw materials (almonds, pistachios, pecans, etc.);

4. Notify planting area, output, quality and price for 2014 seed class materials (sunflower seeds, watermelon seeds, pumpkin seeds);

5. Notify the investigation in the United States;

6. Award to the third science and technology progress awards and advanced science and technology workers; and

7. Listen to suggestions and opinions of the Association work.
