Meeting between leadership of the our association and Mr. Richard, The president of Almond Board of California in the US

On January 12th, 2015, Weng Yangyang, executive vice president of our association, met with  Mr. Richard, the president of Almond Board of California in Beijing.


First, President Richard introduced the condition of the cultivation, production, sales , processing, scientific research, marketing and other aspects of almond in California in 2014. In addition, he made special introduction to  the current situation and the problems of the California almond in the Chinese market, and he mentioned that although in recent years, due to various reasons,the sales of California almond has been falling in the Chinese market, the US side is still positive of the future of Chinese market and will continue to increase the investment in China. What’s more, the US side also said that they will enhance communication with our association and seek multifaceted mutually beneficial cooperation.


Weng Yangyang, executive vice president of our association, introduced the economic performance of China's Nuts industry in 2014 and analyzed the “new normal” situation of Chinese Nuts market from three aspects. What’s more, he also introduced to the US counterparts the focus of the work in our association in 2015.


The US counterparts showed great interest in participating in this year 's Nuts Fair and Nutrition Information Market in April. And said they will actively participate in both events and make substantive cooperation.

The two sides also made a full exchange and discussion on the issues that they show great concern, such as the standard, tax rates, prices, and name of almond.


Both sides agreed that this meeting enhanced friendship, promoted understanding, and achieved substantial results.The people in charge of the International Liaison Department and Science and Technology Department met with Mr. Huang Guangwei, chief engineer of the California Almond Association.
